This historical mystery may have been a little far-fetched at times but it was fun and I liked the sensible, working-class, and relatable Kitty Peck. An undemanding and enjoyable read with three sequels all lined up and ready to go! #bookspinbingo @TheAromaofBooks
Everyday could give such change as each of its end is a nee beginning.
It was a good ride!!! Excited for the second book.
Recently finished this book by Kate Griffin and I have to say it's a short and entertaining read for those who like crime mystery, cloaked with the same vibe as Jack The Ripper stories. It's set in the early 1800's, focusing on Kitty Peck, a performer in the Halls who is forced to track a serial killer with bizarre motives. Love the pacing of the book as it drops plot twists at the right moment & gives you a realistic view of Victorian England.
I have lots of #classics #setinvictorianera but thought I would go for this one instead... bought it several years ago but it's still on my #tbr! #sparklingmaybookishdreams @maich
when your book drops a plot bomb but you can't read it because you're stuck at work for 10 hours....

I needed something light to read... I keep imagining Louise Brooks as the main character (even though the character's description is nothing like her).
