Just as John Box‘s ‘AmericanWhore in Tokyo‘ detailed his life as a host in a club patronizing females, ‘Bar Flower‘ details her life as a hostess on a club patronizing males. Both of them, coincidentally, started out teaching English to Japanese children. I highly recommend both books if one is interested in Japanese culture.
