A great police procedural - not as gripping as the first in the series which was phenomenal, but very solid. Had me racing through to the end late last night. (I usually avoid thrilling books for that very reason 😂🤣) Theres something about the 1930s rural/village settings in this series and the dark crimes taking place - it‘s a strange balance but it works for me at least. Definitely in the mystery genre not thriller, ⬇️
