This was almost a 'Pan'. The story (and series) has so much potential but the protagonist's self-importance gets in the way of things. She was handed loads of clues and didn't put anything together. She's trying to help the accused but can't be arsed to pass the info on to those who can actually do anything; all to get 'the story' for her local newspaper. Anyway, I'll likely try the next one, but if no improvement - I'm done.
