so-soAll of the adult books I could think of with #childprotagonists were depressing! I always want to protect the children from their hardships. Anyway, this book was one of the most difficult books I've ever read. Abigail is barely acknowledged by her father and then sent to live with a cousin, whose husband does unspeakable things. I can't even start to describe this to you without shuddering, but it has stuck with me. #photoadaynov16
