Who's That Knocking on Christmas Eve?
Who's That Knocking on Christmas Eve? | Jan Brett
13 posts | 10 read | 4 to read
Every year, trolls knock down Kyri's door and gobble up her Christmas feast. But this year, the trolls are in for a surprise: a boy and his pet ice bear on their way to Oslo have come in from the cold. And once the ice bear is finished with the trolls, you can bet they won't come knocking next Christmas Eve! Once again, Jan Brett creates an original Christmas story full of warmth and magic. Featuring beautiful borders, intricate illustrations, and a stunning display of the Northern Lights, Who's That Knocking on Christmas Eve? will rightfully take its place among Jan's Christmas favorites with the whole family.

I really like how the author made the “bad characters“ not too scary, it seemed very appropriate for young children.

As always, Jan Brett has breath-taking illustrations and a sweat story that can be passed down for the ages. This one involves trolls that destroy christmas, and one bear called Kitty that can save it.

#HolidayReads with the kiddos - apparently there is a follow-up to the book on the right, called "How Santa Lost His Job" ?

#xmascountdown Day 13

There are uninvited “guests” who gobble up the Xmas Eve feast and whose manners leave much to be desired. The mayhem includes tweaking snouts and stamping on toes. They do learn one lesson before the night is over - let a sleeping “kitty” slumber. 😜

Tamra @mdm139 I‘d like to know how long it takes her to paint for a story and how organic the process is. 7y

Adore! Everything by Jan Brett is amazing! This is a Christmas story of mischief and new friendships. The illustrations tell so much more than what is happening at the moment. If you are new to Jan Brett, all of her illustrations make use of the borders so you know what is happening even when the text is focused on a different part of the story.

awishman Jan Brett books are an important part of our Christmas. Stunning. 8y
