pickWhat a remarkable collection! I find it inspiring how much grassroots passion, vulnerable sharing of lived experience, expertise of various kinds, and powerful calling for a better world went into this book. At the same time, I find it devastating to consider how relatively little progress has been made in almost thirty years and how much backsliding has happened in that same time. Definitely worth a read in my opinion.

pickThis one took me quite a while to finish, because I wanted to really sit with the essays and poems. A few of the essays, especially toward the end, didn‘t really speak to me but most of them were incredibly powerful and resonant. An important read for anyone trying to get a handle on intersectionality and the need for it in feminism.
