panThe writing style is good but the memoir itself was really hard to get into. The author has a self awareness of her own selfishness but there was next to no growth shown to go alongside that awareness. I found her extremely off putting to be honest.
pickTerrific story of a California girl living in NC who marries an older guy from Libya. Unsentimental look at a cross-cultural relationship and marriage. Couldn‘t put it down.
