Everytime I discover another Jim Henson project, I am remind of what a singular talent he was. One of the long list of unproduced absurdist/surrealist screenplays from the 60s, this graphic novel interpretation features minimal dialogue and vibrant art.

This was a very very very strange book. The illustrations were great and that's why it got the two stars. Other than that not a lot of words and it was very confusing. I had no idea what it was about and at the end I guess it's a loop? Definitely a weird read.

To say this was weird is an understatement. I‘m still not sure what I just read...

Another one that‘s lingered on my #tbr since it‘s been recommended to me. It‘s due back tomorrow and so I WILL finish it.

Tale of Sand is the only screenplay that Jim Henson wrote that wasn't produced when he was still alive. It's mostly silent and completely art focused (although there are a few scattered word balloons throughout). It's a gorgeous book and a fun story to page through. 🤘
