Here‘s my review for this book I didn‘t finish. This is also a #TeamBuddyRead but I‘m not going to count it towards the #wintergames and I‘m not going to do the #wordsearch on it.

Here‘s my reading progress for this book. This is also the #TeamBuddyRead for the #wintergames and I‘m going to DNF it. I‘m not feeling it.
#GhostsOfXmas
I decided to start this book. I read A Christmas Carol which is a #TeamBuddyRead and this is also a #TeamBuddyRead. I listened to the first 3 chapters of this book and I don‘t like it but I‘m hoping it gets better. If not then I‘ll DNF it.

The book gets off to a slow start & it takes a while for the pace to actually pick up. I found it worth sticking with though as the author paints a vivid picture of life in Victorian London with its deprivations & squalor.
The book deals with some dark subjects including paedophilia, human trafficking, & murder. I found some sections difficult to read due to the subject matter, & there were several scenes which became rather ridiculous. (Cont...)

I'm a bit ahead so I went on to #LetterM and then I had trouble choosing just one.

Such is my imagination when reading I found one chapter in this book quite terrifying. Tiny Tim from A Christmas Carol is now 23, living in a Brothel and suffering from Erectile Disorder. So begins a tale of transporting very young girls for sex and Tim's involvement in ending the trade. Written in a Dickensian style there is humour & warmth but with sections that are annoyingly unbelievable. Having a satisfying ending it was a pleasure to read.
Tiny Tim Cratchit is all grown up in Victorian England and gets involved in uncovering a sinister crime ring, and introduces us to some delightful characters along the way. Be warned, it‘s very dark.
Tiny Tim turns detective as he navigates Victorian London. This one serves up a bit of darkness with your Christmastime reading. #adventrecommends @emilyrose_x
This is one of my favorite #historicalfiction novels. It is the story of Timothy Cratchit all grown up. It is beautifully written as are all of Louis Bayard's books. #reindeerreads @Jess7
