Articles on Mexican Hip Hop, Including: MC Magic, Malverde (Artist), Bocafloja, Control Machete, Molotov (Band), Akwid, Cartel de Santa, Con Todo Resp | Hephaestus Books
Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Hephaestus Books represents a new publishing paradigm, allowing disparate content sources to be curated into cohesive, relevant, and informative books. To date, this content has been curated from Wikipedia articles and images under Creative Commons licensing, although as Hephaestus Books continues to increase in scope and dimension, more licensed and public domain content is being added. We believe books such as this represent a new and exciting lexicon in the sharing of human knowledge. This particular book contains chapters focused on Mexican hip hop, Mexican hip hop musicians, Mexican rappers, Mexican hip hop groups, Hip hop albums by Mexican artists, and Molotov albums. More info: Latin rap is not a homogeneous musical style but rather a term that covers all Hip-Hop music recorded by artists of Latino origin. According to B.Boy Omega, a writer for The Source, the first Latino in hip hop music was DJ Disco Wiz, a product of a Puerto Rican father and a Cuban mother who was born in The Bronx. DJ Disco Wiz, along with Casanova Fly (Grandmaster Caz), formed the pioneering Mighty Force Crew from 183rd Street and Valentine Avenue in the mid-1970s. Later on they both were joined by the first Latino MC, Prince Whipper Whip, a Puerto Rican. Whip, unlike Wiz was exclusively an MC; Wiz was a DJ too. Casanova Fly (Grandmaster Caz) would rap and DJ at the same time.
