LeahBergen This exhibit was in my city, too. It was wonderful! They also offered a free, one-day bookmaking workshop which I attended. ❤️ 6y

#TBRtemptation post 4! An international bestseller, his is the 1st-ever world history about the destruction of books. Over 10 years of research at leading universities went into this work. From ancient Sumer's broken tablets to library looting in war-time Iraq, book burnings by Crusaders & Nazis to modern banned books. Baéz reads man's violence against writing as anti-creation, & findings attest to books' lasting power.#blameLitsy #blameMrBook ?

I can't beat the feeling when I saw this. The writer whose book I've translated said 'thank you' to me and the local publisher, who published the book in bahasa Indonesia version, on Twitter :)

Pickpick

A holistic history about book destruction, including political situation or chaos that happened behind the destructions. This picture is showing the cover of the version in Bahasa Indonesia, which I translated and was publishen in 2013.
