Last one -- I mean, how relevant is this? Was not expecting this from a book on drawing but why am I surprised, really? Drawing is about everything.

OK, a bit more. By "dispensers" he means those of us drawn to the open road, new places, new people, new experiences. "Non-dispersers" are--well, the opposite. So check this out:

Branwen I can't explain it....but I find this passage to be unbelievably soothing for some reason, if that makes sense? 8y
MyNamesParadise @Branwen it had that effect on me as well! 8y
Branwen @MyNamesParadise I'm glad it wasn't just me! :-) It really just legitimized feelings of not wanting to confirm to society's expectations, you know? It's like, artists (be it writers or painters or really just anyone with a creative mind) have a different mindset from the majority of people and what they are expected to want out of life. And that's okay. It's okay to be different. That passage you posted is just really poignant and moving ♡ 8y
MyNamesParadise @Branwen I've never wanted to conform yet I exist in what we call the "normal world" but do it in my way so I'm different. Looking back I always wanted to be different enough so I could be viewed as interesting or someone with superior taste. There's just so much to see and do in this world, but time and money are the 2 biggest factors it seems! Ugh! 8y
Branwen @MyNamesParadise Exactly! Wouldn't it just be perfect if we had the time and money to see and do everything we've ever dreamed of doing? :-) 8y

OMG the last 3 pages of this book are blowing my mind. I have to share a few quotes:

BkClubCare More apple pie! (I can always spot pie in literature) 8y
Branwen Omg. I think I need to read this. The last few quotes that you have posted have seriously blown my mind and jabbed my heart! But totally in a good way :-) 8y
