I have an innate curiosity to learn about the lives of other people. Identified as a biographical fiction novel, Call Me Zelda by Erika Robuck, spoke to my interests about F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald. The novel opens in 1932 with Zelda being admitted to the Phipps Psychiatric Clinic in Baltimore, Maryland, and meeting her assigned nurse, Anna Howard.

Thank you @EadieB for this book! It was excellent. Anna tells the story of her time as private nurse to Zelda Fitzgerald. She witnesses the tragic unfolding of Zelda and Scott's life together. Anna has experienced loss in her life and becomes a friend to Zelda.

I didn‘t really like this book but it made for a good #LMPBC discussion. @Linsy this is coming your way.

Meh, this was okay. I just found it kind of bland and wish there‘d been more to it than there actually was.

Still no updates on the lost package 😩 but the replacement got here today... At least I hope it was today. The Amazon delivery driver decided to leave it in the stairwell instead of at my door, so I didn‘t know it was there until I went out this afternoon. 🙄🙃😒 But anyway, it‘s here now. I‘ll get started on it soon. 😊

I like this so much better than Robuck‘s Hemingway novel. Maybe Cause I don‘t like Hemingway and love Zelda.

I quite enjoyed this story about Zelda Fitzgerald and her nurse, Anna. It‘s made me want to learn more about the Fitzgeralds and read more of his books. Flawed or not, they were very interesting people. 4⭐️I‘m glad I picked this for #LMPBC and I hope you guys will like it! I‘ll have it in the mail this afternoon.

Definitely an enjoyable quick read!! Focused on the latter part of Zelda's life. While I would have loved to know more about the earlier parts of their lives together, this was a wonderful read! Definitely going to look into more books on Zelda Fitzgerald for sure now!

The last couple of chapters made my eyes water a little bit. Pretty good book with a great message about the power of friendship.

Had to blitz through this one at work today in time for book club 😀
It was more or less fine but my biggest issue was that I didn't get enough of a sense of the '30s setting.

Was he a great writer or did he just plaigerize passages from his wife's diaries? I guess only the two of them will ever really know.
