Studs Terkel, a Chicago radio personality, had a long standing legacy of tackling topics that provoked thought and conversation. In the 60s Terkel interviewed Civil rights workers (both Black & White) about racial equality. He reinterviewed the same people in the 1990s to see if they felt “Equality” had been achieved. Not surprisingly the races still lived in a very different country. This book took me by storm - the interviews are powerful!
