I loved this gentle science fiction story about learning, culture, friendship, and choices. I already have book 2 bought and downloaded.

Thanks for the tag, @Ast_Arslan !
1. Yes, the tagged is my one DNF so far. I really thought I'd enjoy this book, but I was just struggling through it and had to surrender. Granted, I did skim the rest.
2. Nope! I've made recent changes to my reading habits, so I don't have anything I want to change just yet!

I'm late for #Two4Tuesday so I won't tag anyone.

TheSpineView Never too late! Thanks for playing! 🤩📖📚 4y

I‘ve seen a few reviews that state nothing happens in MINDTOUCH. This is false—but if you demand constant external drama, you‘ll be disappointed. Most of MINDTOUCH‘s action is internal as the characters figure out the complexities of academia, navigate new social spheres, and decide what they are to one another. It‘s beautifully done and I loved it.

(Except it‘s 50-100 pages overlong. I‘m glad to see the sequels are all much shorter.)

PerksOfBeingABookworm I love the cover art! 4y

The characters in MINDTOUCH consume a lot of ice cream and various hot drinks. I had ice cream for dessert last night, and tonight I made hot chocolate.

I‘m still loving the book. I probably won‘t finish it tonight, but I‘m on track to gulp down the last bit tomorrow.

Sometimes you eat healthy; sometimes you go get a McGriddle for breakfast. 🤷‍♀️

I started MINDTOUCH last night, and I‘m loving it so far. It‘s a How Stuff Works book. Totally my thing.

I made it about 9% into this book, and then I started skimming until about 60%, and then I realized I wasn't really enjoying it and stopped. The writing was a bit.... Stiff? Even in the dialogue... It sounded like writing. Awkwardly so. The story seems fun, but the pacing also seemed slow. I have no doubt that some readers will pick this up and it'll be a perfect read for them, though.

Fantastic. I love the universe (lots of history we see only scraps of) and I adore the characters. Jahir is great, but I really identify with Vasith't. And lovely to see a non-sexual, strong relationship.

Love this book - it gives me all the friendship feels! Just be warned: I had to stop reading it on public transport because it kept making me cry.
