bailed170 pages in and DNF. Much much weaker than Marillier's other books and I'm just not invested in the characters or the plot

I haven't read Merillier yet, in spite of having heard wonderful things about her.
I've always been fascinated with the Viking culture, so when l saw this book l couldn't resist.
Starting a comfort re-read as this was newly released in audio form! I have the mass market paperback but due to my chronic pain I can't read them.
Day 1 of #febinbooks18 is anticipated reads. I don't plan my reading ahead of time but here are a few I've been looking forward to for awhile.

pickYet another book to love...This is a great fantasy/remote historical fiction. I love the elements of myth and legend.
Currently re-reading Wolfskin by Juliet Marillier. I love the way she crafts her stories around various mythologies.
