pickI loved this unique look at the mother daughter relationship. They tell not only their stories but each others stories. Full of regrets, love, pain, exaggerations and sarcasm . Wonderfully written but sometimes it took me a bit to understand whose story i was in. Maybe that's the point. Different story yet the same story. Forever intertwined ❤❤❤❤

Having a lazy Saturday morning read with this big fella (who would prefer to be outside in the mud from last night's storm). PS this book's prose is 👌🏻
Our 21-day pick tells the story of aspiring writer Elizabeth & her opera singer mother Lois in an entwined & unique narrative structure. The pair examines the stories they've told to each other, the lives they've lived together & apart, & the ways in which they do & do not understand one another.
I've been eyeing this one up at the library for a few weeks now and finally brought it home. So far I'm loving the original point of view / narration!
THIS BOOK IS slowly breaking my heart and I absolutely love it. Would love to hug my Mom tight and let her know I love her- but I'm afraid she may take advantage 🤔 of my emotional state and talk me into doing a million things for her 😂😂 she may win..
