delicious noir fun. love Megan Abbott's later books about dangerous girls so it's great to look back to her dangerous women! while I don't think it reaches The Fever, it's a riveting, quick read filled with lots of fun period sex n violence!

talk about a #stack

FINALLY got around to reading it and it's as excellent as can be expected. Humble penguin edition really got lived in as I carried this book around with me for a fortnight
