The Scarlet Letter: a romance | Nathaniel Hawthorne

This is one of the several classics I read at a young age and from what I can gather from my memory, it was quite mesmerizing and well written. However, I believe I owe this book, among others, a reread to understand what an 11-12 year old mind could not.

Pickpick

Frankenstein is a read incredibly worthwhile with its well constructed themes and enthralling plot lines. If you're still stuck in the commercialized version of Frankenstein, I highly recommend taking the time to read this novel and explore Shelley's ideas of humanity's helplessness and the ethical line between life and death. This will always remain one of my favorite books.

Prejudice, a dirty word, and faith, a clean one, have something in common: they both begin where reason ends.
