What a world the author created! Full of wonders and fantasies, it is truly magical and addictive.
Disappointing. The premise of the book alluded to a world of magic and I unfairly compared it to Harry Potter from the beginning. It misses the mark in terms of characters as they are mostly unlikeable and it is difficult to root for them.
Expect a character driven novel rather than a narrative focused on action. I thoroughly enjoyed it as the story was set at a slower pace (in my opinion) to allow the multitude of odd characters to shine and get their own spotlight per chapter.
A fresh twist on fairytales. I especially enjoyed the rich details provided to each character and the slight allusions to the Sailor Moon storyline (the author was a prior Sailor Moon fanfiction writer).
