It's been a struggle to read this. Too many voices in too many different accents. I get why it's done that way and I appreciate reading in the Jamaican accent, but the constant change of POV is a bit tiresome. Left it but will return to finish... Fascinating enough!

Creepy. Fascinating. Downright terrifying in parts. But absolutely brilliant! The writing. The descriptions. The sheer imaginary brilliance is astounding. I didn't know how I'd feel about this kind of surrealistic/almost fantasy fiction. I LOVED it.

On the list of my most favorite books of all time. Such poetry in her prose.

Incredible. Such compelling characters. Beautiful description. Leaves you with an appreciation of life - and all its downs AND ups.
