Pickpick

"I am not ruined. I am ruination."

R&R told a way better story than the previous book. I liked the way it wrapped up, and was glad Mal wasn't such a d-bag in this. But I HATE when people are killed and brought back to life in YA books. It feels like there's nothing real at stake for the characters, which makes the story feel cheap.

Mehso-so

I didn't think the story itself was *that* great. Not that it was bad, it's was just average IMO.

That being said - despite the average storyline, it told a SUPERB lesson. It was so relevant to current issues such as immigration, prejudice and flat out racism, stereotypes, technology, and a leader who maaaaybe shouldn't be a leader. 🙄 On that alone, this book gets an A+ from me. If you have a teenager in your life, give them a copy of this book!
