Image above is a game I co designed with 2 others.

Besides my love for reading books, board game design is another one of my passions. The Art Game Design although primarily written for video game designers gives a more philosophical approach when it comes to game design. Making the book a very useful reference for designing games as a whole. Lessons learned from doesn't only apply to game design but to our everyday lives as well.

Conan of Venarium | Harry Turtledove

This is the master of alternative history, Harry Turtledove's take on the classic sword and sorcery hero, Conan. It shows an alternative take on Conan's teenage years during the Aquilonian invasion of his homeland. Turtledove wrote Conan's tale masterfully that it even surpassed the original books by the late Robert E. Howard.

This is the first military fiction book that I've ever read. It takes a more grounded approach by showing what war is like to those soldiers on the ground rather than showing the big picture. It shows a glimpse as to how a soldier during the cold war would think if they actually fought World War III. Their fears and anxieties are laid bare as the war unfolds before them, as people around them die and them trying to fend for themselves.

A book that provides inspiration and encouragement to artists by teaching them self promotion. It is not just for your work to have more exposure, but also, for self improvement as well. The book is smart and witty in it's writing and guides it's readers to a creative journey to be more established.

It's one of the few books of Edith Pargeter that I've read. Her precise and consistent writing style complimented the finely crafted story filled with sympathetic characters. The themes of honor, treachery, rebellion, and pain were beautifully rendered from the start to it's conclusion.
