It‘s dark and stormy outside on this Halloween‘s Eve 🕸🦇🎃 - a good night for finishing this literary thriller, and, well, for drinking this perfect Dark ‘n Stormy. 🥃

Just finishing this read, while looking out of my window to my own autumn-colored suburb. 🌰🍂🍁 I love the ending; it‘s full of possibility and hope, and forgiveness, in some way.

Just a fun read, but not my kind of book, because of the shallow characters and their white men's problems. They never looked outside their Manhattan 🏙 bubble. And oh, the irony - where was I reading this book...? That's right, in Central Park 🐿 🌿, the most Manhattan-like place of Manhattan...!

...almost as good as reading books: reorganizing your books. Sometimes this is all it takes to get a tidy mind again. Or, for so long it lasts, because, next mind-absorbing problem: which of these books to read first...!

Yes, finally ❤️ - I'm going to visit New York ✈️🌆, one whole week in August. I'll be staying in Williamsburg, and of course I'll visit as many bookstores as possible. Any recommendations - book-related 📖or, also important, drinks & food-related🍷☕️🌭? In the meantime, I'm rereading Paul Auster's New York Trilogy - one of my all time favorites.

Thinking about last weekend, when the sun was out and shining, and I was reading some Dutch classic novel in our garden. At the moment, it's pouring... ⛈The cat seems to be intrigued by the book, but there was some insect buzzing around... 🐝🐝🐝

Reading this amazingly beautiful novel, almost painfully so. Luckily, there's also the stunning view of the Mont Blanc (yes, I'm camping in France, in the French Alps, with the sound of cow bells as background music).

Last weekend, reading in the garden - the Dutch translation of Faces in the Crowd. Strangely intriguing book; it has a surrealistic feel, which is a perfect match to a sunny afternoon in a lush green garden. 🌳🌻☀️
