I am entirely convinced that this book is magic spun into words. The author is secretly a magician (or illusionist, or manipulator as they like to refer to it in the book), masquerading as an author in order to use her powers discreetly. Does the night circus really exist? Can she will it into existence using her powers? Oh, what I wouldn't give to experience it just once in this lifetime.
