I couldn't finish this one. I'm fine with the occasional cliche-ridden story, and even seek them out at times. thought this would be that comfortable read, but it was too much for me.

We would have called it power, magic. They called it piety. But what is the difference, if both fires burn just as bright?
This book BLEW me away. I loved the prose, the characters, and the amount of care put into the crafting of this world. can't wait to read more from Reid.

Strange Grace was a great example of how non-heterosexual romance can be done in books, but I didn't find that the plot or characters really stood out in any sort of way. The climax of the book felt underwhelming and almost expected, and I wish that there could have been more to the book that I loved as much as the representation.
I always thought it was magic moving through me, but now I know it to be rage.
