Only 2 days left until SRP 2022!!! We‘re getting a head start on ocean-themed books.
I‘m writing a blog post for my library and guess what day it‘s for…?
We are gearing up for SRP! I‘m very happy with this year‘s theme. I should‘ve been a whale instead of a human. Or a mermaid. I have 2 baby/toddler specific take-home kits I‘m working on and I hope they turn out great!
I don‘t like the Eternals as much as I do the other superheroes. I just couldn‘t get connected to any of them. However, this edition of Eternals by Neil Gaiman is still worth a read simply because Gaiman is a great writer.
Thank you so much to my Swoonathon swap partner! So much thought and heart into this gift! 🥰
I really like books like this. A collection of crafts, activities, recipes, and more that fit a seasonal aesthetic.
The bad thing about reading with other people? Sometimes it takes you more than a YEAR to finish a book… my husband and I will read books together, take turns reading out loud, but we are bad about making time for our book. It‘s the worst book club ever with good intentions lol.
“When I imagine my ingredients, I imagine that my muscles are made of plums, that my heart is a giant ruby with a light bulb in it, that my blood is goldenrod yellow, and the bones inside my body are made from lions‘ bones and shells, and that my brain is made of steak and silk and Hawaiian Punch.”
I LOVED this book! Middle school Kena would have 100% wanted to be like Aurora. Thank you random Reddit stranger for suggesting this title to me after I asked for book recommendations that were similar to the movie, “Real Genius.” Paula Danziger books capture the thoughts and feelings of tweens so well, even across different generations.
These Nancy Drew diaries are great reads! I enjoy Bess and George‘s help when solving mysteries. Perfect for middle grade readers who like mystery.

I‘m switching over to Litsy for awhile. I‘ve been going through my bookshelves at home to donate books I don‘t *need* anymore (who am I kidding, I always need books but… I also don‘t live in a mansion). I decided to donate my physical copy of Four and just listen to it via Libby app. Im glad to get back into the Divergent world!
Ishiguro‘s prose is phenomenal and the twist of the previous Lord of Darlington Hall being involved in political scandals was enticing, I just could not sympathize for neither Mr. Stevens and his unrequited love for Miss Kenton nor his dedication to the profession of being a butler. I wanted more of the unrequited love story and was slightly disappointed.
