As a Sherlock Holmes buff and an appreciator of the grotesque, I enjoyed this mashup of Victorian London with Elder Gods. This is a hardbound graphic novel version of Neil Gaiman‘s short story, and I think it achieved an effective blend of overt and implied horrors. It‘s a beautiful edition of an entertaining story.

This was a gift from @craftysilicate for Chanukah. An excellent read, hard to put down! It‘s a psychological thriller/mystery and, though I had my suspicions along the way, I wasn‘t sure of the outcome until I got there. Very evocative and satisfying.
