I wanted to love this book. It opens with a fun premise: a man is revived thousands of years after he goes into cryogenic suspension on the first manned mission to another solar system.

The first half of the book has some fun world-building. Interesting ideas abound and it seems like a complex universe is ready to be explored. The second half of the book, however, gets lost in a pretty uninspiring plot.

I'm a fan of Blake Crouch's books. He writes fast-paced stories with fun hooks. Dark Matter follows a man as he weaves his way through multiple parallel universes teying to find his way home. This book reads quick, engages the mind, and will no doubt make a fun movie one day.
