I just read this series. It's got a great pulpy vibe, silly slasher fun. Other than the main character, you don't really have time or reason to get attached to any others, but I liked how the author would still give them an introduction and backstory that gave you some familiarity, even if he just killed them off in the next 20 pages. I really felt that book 3 solidified a possible Parker Ames movie in my mind.
