I couldn't even finished this book if I tried & I can't blame it on the author! The narrator for this audiobook read the book as if he were a robot. I couldn't stand to listen to his voice for one moment more!!

If you want to learn the history & the planning of Chicago's World Fair then this is the book for you. BUT if you thought this book was about the famous serial killer H.H. Holmes I suggest you keep on looking. The Author does tell his story of course but the title of the book leads you to believe it is a story about him. It is not. It's as if the author added H. H. Holmes as an afterthought. I was not only disappointed but bored as well!
