This book is simple and heartbreaking. Odafe Atogun has a short, direct style that is funny at times and always full of feeling. Taduno is a lovely character that you will root for from page one.

Best book I've read in ages. Beautifully written. Carefully crafted. Fascinating characters. I'm a El Akkad fan for life.
"Sarat felt Bragg's ashtray breath on her face. It amazed her, the length at which old men could talk."
Check out my review *in print* for Indies Next coming this March. They will be sent to every ABA bookstore in the country. Wow.
I'm not usually a short story reader but DAMN! This collection of slippery-slidey vignettes is outstanding. Look for it in paperback on May 9.
Weird and fun. Both in the characters but also in form. Max Winter is a interesting new talent. @Catapult
This is a gorgeous first book that knocked me out in so many ways. It surprised me by smooth prose and by inventive plotting. It had such style and strong voice that lingers long after the last page is turned. I am looking forward to more from Wuetrz with utter impatience.
