The End of the Day | Claire North
Pickpick

Having enjoyed The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August I was eager to read more from Claire North and I was not disappointed. To get the criticisms (very minor) out of the way its not very fluid chapter-chapter wise and that whole chapters are wasted on repetition of various random voices. Other than that the story(ies) is beautiful and philosophical, I engaged with Charlie the whole way through and it is a book I will recommend others to read.

Mehso-so

So the book was what I was expecting in both a good way and a bad way. The positives was that there was a good scope and range of reactions to the plane crashes and the survivors including conspiracy theories. The cons was that it felt hard to get back into if you were reading it bit by bit and it felt harder remembering which account was related to one of The Three. Still Id say go for it and read it but taking a break before I tackle the sequel.

13 Reasons Why | Jay Asher
Pickpick

I read this book after watching the netflix series and I was not disappointed by either of them. Of course there are disputes about the role of mental health (or lack of) but I hope its started and helping develop a public discourse on mental health that no one should be alone if they're or someone they know is affected. So my advice is, give it a read and see what you think.

Release | Patrick Ness

The majority of this book including the ending was read on the train. Didnt think I would be quietly sobbing at the end but this book is simply powerful, filled with emotion and I can easily recommend this book to anyone.

More Than This | Patrick Ness
Pickpick

Didn't know what I was expecting when I picked up this book as it was the first one I've read from Ness but he delivers so well with the plot, the depth of characters and the philosophical undertones. A must read :)
