so-so“The Glass Castle” is a tragic memoir written by Jeannette Walls. In her memoir she leads us through the emotional journey of her life that touches on harsh topics of family drama, poverty, and non-conformance— and she addresses the resulting trauma of those reoccurring themes in her life. Throughout her life she moves to numerous different places, all in which she learns a new life lesson, and we see her lose her innocence more and more each time

In each new place, she struggles through the life of poverty that her parents have chosen for her and her siblings, which results in them having an abnormal view of life. alyssajorgensen the way you‘ve been raised, then you would really enjoy this book! Jeannette Walls has decided to write this book in first person point of view, but she has an interesting take on it because at all points of the book she‘s focusing on her thoughts and feelings that she had at the time, instead of including any input of the knowledge and wisdom of her adult life.
