"But who can remember pain, once it's over? All that remains of it is a shadow, not in the mind even, in the flesh. Pain marks you, but too deep to see. Out of sight, out of mind"

I came across this book while reading about quantum physics. Leonora Christine is a spaceship sent to seek life on a planet that's 35 light-years away from earth. The crew is supposed to reproduce the human race on that planet. However, the spaceship encounters some issues as its speed, which is produced from space itself, reaches light speed. While thinking they're going to be annihilated, they witness the birth of a new universe.
