Another one for my journal and another historical fiction based in 1920's NYC, I really enjoyed listening to the narrator, excellent job.
"... The local constable a man whose benign disposition and elastic interpretation of the licensing laws had made him deeply respected in the district." I do not have enough room in my book journal for all these wonderful lines in this wonderful book.

This child with his naive outlook on life was the compass which showed them the degree of their departure from what they knew but did not want to know.
