I wanted to like this book because the premise is so exciting! I thought it would be like the Mummy/ Indiana Jones, and those elements are there, but it‘s so slow, and from the reviews I‘ve read everything is just sort of dumped into the middle of the book. Our heroine is also, sadly, annoying. She‘s supposed to be feisty and endearing, but it feels gimmicky. 😕

Loved it! The secret identity aspect combined with the gaming theme and Cinderella retelling made this book so enjoyable. It‘s a bit predictable since most people are familiar with the story of Cinderella. But, the fun homages to tale as well as the lovable characters make it an adorable read. I love that their screen names are MidKnight and ClockStriker! Clever!
