"...you can put Wendell Grigg's ashes in a Duke's Mayonnaise jar, and we'll bury that in the family plot. Okay?"
Southerners love their Duke's Mayo! Who knew it was good for tomato sandwiches and cremains? I love Mary Kay Andrews!

This book is difficult to describe...the author tells of her childhood living with two deadbeats who refuse to put their children's needs before their own. The story flowed well, but I found myself devoid of emotion for them by the end of the story.
This book was out of my usual genre, and due to the graphic violence, I had to read it in chunks, rather than non stop. I became invested in the characters, but by the middle, when the bad guy was discovered, I just read because I wanted to know the ending of the story.
