Great book but not always a easy read, I would recommend it to anyone that is interested in the history of Ireland, the mindset of key IRA figures & the account of the “Troubles”conflict in Northern Ireland. I have a better understanding now of the conflict between Britain and Ireland & how complicated it was & probably still is. Definitely will read some of the authors other books.

Thought provoking read! thoroughly enjoyed it and as a introvert I can understand the life that Christopher chose to live along with the challenges, I found it fascinating that he did not have a conversation with another person for 27 years!

Black Hills | Dan Simmons
Pickpick

I like historical based stories so enjoyed this book, the only part of the book that I didn‘t quite get or how it fit into the story was Custer‘s letters to his wife discussing their lovemaking etc, not quite sure what that was about? Simmons seems to base the book on the accurate history of the Black Hills and the Native Americans plight
