Slow moving but so worth the time spent in this world. How does the world rebuild after it ends? Community, families, and perseverance. This world is not a utopia and the book is better than I assumed it would be. definitely a good read.

The writing is beautiful and the stories are brutal and heartbreaking. Read them slowly
It‘s not a perfect book but I was definitely into it. Nonstop pacing, excellent bad guys and a satisfying ending
Excellent. If you want a new P.I. series to look forward to every year, this is it. Roxane Weary is a great character
Still reading this one but it‘s so good and so much fun ❤️
I enjoyed the first section. The second section made me uncomfortable. The ending section made me scratch my head. I think I need to read it again. The writing is beautiful which will definitely pull you through but...hmm
Anyone reading this? I‘m dying to discuss it 😳
I read this author's essay in Lenny and something in that essay made me curious. She wrote this thoroughly engaging book on pseudocide--the reasons for and against it with a terribly Interesting trip down the "Michael Jackson is alive" and celebrity deaths path. Really really good.
This was just so great. A weird tale about identity, home, and sacrifice with robots as the last vestige of humanity. They are the best and worst of us.
Will she write again?
Will she write a new book?
It's good but, man, this book is stressing me out 😳
Nothing has happened yet but I LOVE IT 😍 Character voice is fabulous.
A very short but enjoyable read. Glad to know more Murderbot Diaries are coming
Strong, wondrous storytelling. Loved this one and I'm so sad it's over.
It's wonderful when the right book comes along to feed your soul.
After three separate attempts I have finally finished this book. Y'all, I clapped when it over. Creepy and beautiful.
Thoroughly enjoyed this one. Howrey touches on what is sacrificed to pursue a passion (space/Mars) and the characters consider if it's worthwhile. It's about more than that but this is what stood out to me. Worth it.
These stories are hard to read. There is pain and loss and broken hearts which Gay renders so perfectly. I can't say I loved every story because some are stories so raw that I can't imagine ever wanting to experience them again. But do read this collection. It's worth it.
I stayed with it until the end but only because I was hoping Nate P would become a better character. I don't think I have ever disliked a character more. Not a bad book. Not bad writing. Just wasn't for me.
I don't recommend listening to the audiobook while driving. The book, which is excellent so far, is voiced by a full cast and there is a point in the story where a character screams out in pain and the narrator let loose with a wail that almost caused me to drive off the road. 😬 lol
I didn't know. I mean, I knew. I'd heard the reviews and about the awards and read all the Twitter-chatter. But I didn't know Ancillary Justice was so amazing. I was thoroughly engaged and entertained. All the applause for Ann Leckie. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🎉🎉🎉
I'm off the read the next one.
I listened this book and I admit to getting caught up in it. The writing is great. Parts of it are truly excellent. In the end though it wasn't enough. But I was entertained.
Re-reading the Parker books. Good stuff. Next up is Lawrence Block's Bernie Rhodenbarr series. I guess I'm in a particular reading mood. 😀
Foul-mouthed and ill tempered, Blacky Jaguar isn't the best guy but damn he is entertaining. All he wants is his car back. Is that so much to ask?
