Absolutely stunning writing. Morgenstern completely immerses you in the world of the Night Circus- the colours, scents and sounds are all so evocative. You become as tied to the circus as the two main characters at the novels heart. Really didn't want this one to end!

This is the first book of Taylor Jenkins Reid's that I've read and I LOVED it. Seen a lot of hype from about it and I'm glad I gave it a go! Devoured it within two days.

Wasn't entirely convinced by this one, especially as the thriller is one of my favourite genres. I just thought he laboured the same horrific plot point and the violence seemed excessive. The plot and the story just seemed a bit one dimensional to me, it was lacking in the twists and surprises. But, it did keep me gripped enough to read to the end.
