I‘ll admit, it took a while for me to fall into this one. It wasn‘t until almost halfway through that I felt totally invested in the story line. Once I was, though, man what a ride! A heartfelt, intense roller coaster. Set in the era of the Great Depression, this book followed the story of several interwoven characters working in the news industry and the impact one single choice can have on the lives of so many ❤️

I have been so wrapped up in WW2 historical fiction lately. I am always so grounded and inspired by those who could find even the smallest spark of light in such a dark time. I have just started “Salt to the Sea” by Ruta Sepetys, but am already so entranced by the characters and writing style ❤️
