Alright, so far I‘m quite impressed with this one. It immediately pulls you in. Can‘t wait to see where this is all leading to....
If you don‘t mind super shallow and predictable then you might enjoy this book. I found the idea fascinating, writing wasn‘t bad but the whole message fell short for me. It is the equivalent of telling a depressed suicidal person to “appreciate what they have” as if it‘s so easy to pull yourself out. None of the messages/lives were new or impressive. Protagonist unlikable, the rest of the characters are like cardboard cutouts. #worstreads2020

This book was absolutely amazing. It took me time to get into it mostly because I am not familiar with Russian folklore and the names and names of beasts were a mouthful but once I got rolling I binged the entire book. This book is pure genius and I always love a strong female protagonist
