I originally read the Vampire Chronicles as a teenager and fell in love. With the recent passing of Anne Rice I decided to revisit the vampires of my youth. I love the book as much now as I did the first time. Reading it felt a bit like visiting old friends.

Foundation and Empire | Isaac Asimov

The beginning of this book was really slow. Honestly, I wasn't a fan until about a third of the way in. Once I reached the section with the mule the story really picked up. Characters were introduced that made you care about them and the ending surprised me. I'm looking forward to reading Second Foundation because I need answers to the questions that I thought would be answered by the end of this book.

I absolutely loved this. It's a sci-fi comic about two soldiers from opposing armies who fall in love. One is a prisoner the other is a guard. They break free and go on the run, get married, and have a baby. It has beautiful artwork and the story is just engrossing. I cannot wait to read the rest of the series.

I enjoyed Circe so much I decided to dive into Song of Achilles immediately after and boy did I love it. I thought the story was beautifully told and I loved that it was told from the point of view of Patroclus. I'm usually a huge fan of love stories but this one really did it for me. I even teared up a little at the end.

I loved this book! I loved learning about Greek mythology in school but hadn't thought about it much since. It is as beautifully written as everyone says.I found myself falling in love with not just Circe but characters I didn't even expect to like. I'm so glad that I read this and I definitely plan on reading more Madeline Miller in the future.

I've been working a lot the last few weeks and haven't had much time for reading so I decided that the best way to start my Saturday was breakfast and a book. I'm about halfway through this one and so far it's a fun and weird book. I'm looking forward to spending some time on it over the weekend.

I picked this up at the local bookstore today and thought I'd start it tonight. I've read several books by China Meiville before but never this one. I've heard it compared to Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere, which I loved. I have high hopes for this one.

Reggie Welcome to Litsy! I‘ve never read any Melville either but am curious. 5y
