One of the many reasons I love this book is the sense of familiarity surrounding the plague and the way people reacted to it. Also, I worked at the Public during the production of KING LEAR that inspired the production in the book, so the hauntings of those characters were incredibly familiar.
pickI usually race through books, especially when they're this good, but I parsed this out one out over the last year and finally finished last night. An incredible read.
