It took all I had not to skip out of the library today! I was so excited that these came in. I loved Where'd you go Bernadette and I cannot wait to dive into this one! The kid in me is also super excited to introduce my daughter to her very first choose your own adventure book! 🤓
I'm not that far in but this doesn't seem to be getting as scary as I read about. Unsettling yes but not scary.

One second later...slowly, insidiously, oh most gently, the great peach started to lean forward and steal into motion. 🍑🐞🐛🕷🚶I loved this book as a kid! However reading it to my 6 year old I don't remember it being this dark!
I was so glad to get the email that this came in today. I can't wait to get it started! Picked up a few more for myself and my mini me! We registered for the summer reading program and made some bookmarks!

Don't you just love re-reading your childhood favorites? These books are just as exciting as they were the first time I read them. And my little girl is loving them too! ☺️
I might be a bit out of my comfort zone with this one. I'm finding it to be a little unsettling.
pickThis was a quick and easy read. I always enjoy reading about other cultures. Foot binding was something I'd heard of but never knew what was involved and why. This is a very sweet story of two girls chosen to be friends and their journey through foot binding, arranged marriage, children and beyond.
pickThis book was heartbreaking. I cannot imagine living in a time like this. It's difficult for me to rate this book. It was a page turner. I devoured it. But can I say it was "good"? It was sad and made me cry. I'm glad I read it. Would I say you should read it? Yes. So we can cry over it together.
pickI loved this book! Parenting, marriage, the pickup/drop off line. I could relate to almost everything. And Bernadette has got to be one of the best characters I've met in a long time. This was so much fun!
I don't typically read this type of book but I'm glad I did. It was awesome!
