That which yields is not always weak.

The Kushiel series is a complex and beautiful work. Phedre is one of the best female protagonists I've encountered; she feels real and genuine even in a made up world. The characters are flawed and human; they make you believe that anyone can change the course of history.

This book will always be my favorite. It has everything, and the writing is perfect.
