Just finished this, and I have to say—it lives up to all the hype!
I did the audiobook, and I feel like hearing the character‘s voices really added to the story. Definitely pick this one up if you haven‘t already.

The first and last lines of City of Brass. Excuse me while I cry about how long I have to wait for the sequel...

Finally finished this book, so now I can pack it! (I move apartments next week)
Still trying to find words to describe this book. It's so outside of every genre I'm familiar with and unlike anything else I've read. But each page kept me hooked and every character was intriguing and alive. A fast-paced cabaret political thriller. Keep an eye out for a review on my blog TheGothicLibrary.com.

My Friday night in: getting back into the Whedon world with some Serenity comics. Pairs great with absinthe.
Better Days didn't quite live up to the TV show for me, but it was great to spend some time with these characters. The gang stumbles upon an unexpectedly large pile of cash and gets to spend a day living it up. Until things go wrong...

The Robber Bride | Margaret Atwood

Pickpick

Margaret Atwood, author of the frightening dystopia The Handmaid's Tale, explores women, their relationships, and the power of weakness in her literary novel The Robber Bride. Tony, Charis, and Roz are three women whose lives have been irreparably damaged by their college acquaintance Zenia. Their three narratives interweave to paint a complete portrait of the woman who used vulnerability like a weapon to con women and snare the men they love.
