A fantastic unreliable narrator. A twisty King Lear feel. Sparse, haunting prose. It was the perfect rainy day read.

In this world, time is currency, and people bleed away their lives to pay for what they need. There's a little bit of Downton Abbey/Upstairs Downstairs and a lot of fairy tale feel. I'm a sucker for books that don't shy away from the dark! Especially when that dark is NOT centered around women's subjugation! I could not put Everless down - read it cover to cover in the early morning before work.
There is no limit to the number of times I will read and love this book. Six POVs, characters with twisted backstories, heists, fights, love, and secrets. Just read it. I promise you won't regret it!
To be read when you need a reminder that even first love is real and worth fighting for.
Worth the read for the beauty of the prose and voice alone. A story about longing and separation, first love and connection. A man-boy named Lazlo Strange investigates the problems of Weep. The daughter of gods wonders whether revenge is worth it.
